Stop Wasting Money on Bad Tech — Here's How I Vet Every Product

I've spent years going deep on tech gadgets and gaming gear on Amazon. Most of what's out there is overpriced junk with fake reviews.

Here's my process for finding stuff that's actually worth buying:

1. Ignore star ratings. A 4.5 star product with 10,000 reviews can still be garbage. I look at the 1-3 star reviews first — that's where people tell the truth about build quality, longevity, and actual performance.

2. Compare specs per dollar. A $40 gaming mouse might outperform a $120 one. Most people overpay for brand names when a lesser-known option has identical sensors and better ergonomics.

3. Check the return rate. Amazon's "frequently returned" tag is a massive red flag most people scroll past.

4. Wait for price cycles. Almost everything on Amazon follows a pricing pattern. I track price history so I know when something is genuinely discounted vs. "on sale" at its normal price.

5. Test durability, not just features. RGB lighting doesn't matter if the keyboard switches die in 6 months.

I do this research daily and share my finds with TechFinds members — curated picks, deal alerts, and honest reviews so you don't have to waste hours scrolling Amazon yourself.
