Three days to experience Bangkok without spending hours figuring out where to go next.
I built this itinerary from my own time exploring Bangkok and living in Thailand. It’s the route I’d choose for a first trip when you have three days in the city.
DAY 1 · OLD BANGKOK
Start with the historic side of the city. Explore Bangkok’s old neighbourhoods, temples, local streets and some of the places that give this part of the city its character.
DAY 2 · THE RIVER & CHINATOWN
Follow the Chao Phraya and explore one of Bangkok’s most atmospheric areas. Discover Chinatown, local food, hidden streets and places to stop along the way.
DAY 3 · LOCAL & MODERN BANGKOK
See another side of the city, combining local neighbourhoods with modern Bangkok, food, drinks and places worth exploring beyond the usual tourist route.
WHAT YOU GET
• A day-by-day 3-day Bangkok itinerary
• A Google Maps route with all recommended stops
• Places to eat, drink, explore and visit along the way
• Neighbourhoods chosen to give you different sides of Bangkok
• A route designed to make the most of three days without constantly planning what to do next
I didn’t pull this itinerary from a listicle. It’s built from actually walking these streets, day after day, and keeping track of what’s worth the detour.
Three days, one map, and a route you can follow without opening five browser tabs to figure out what’s next.
