I built an AI system that sends my ecom store a fully personalized newsletter every Friday at 9am, I just review and click send

Wanted to share something I built for my own store that's been saving me hours every week.

Every Friday morning at 9am, this runs automatically:

• Pulls upcoming sports matches (football, NBA, UFC) from live APIs

• Grabs what's new on streaming from TMDB

• Sends all that data to Claude and generates the full email, subject line, preview text, intros, event cards, everything, written like a knowledgeable friend, not a robot

• Finds real images for each card (team logos, show backdrops)

• Builds the full HTML email and creates a Brevo campaign

Btw I wake up, there's a ready-to-send campaign in my dashboard. I review it, click launch. That's it.

The whole thing runs on a Node.js cron job on a VPS. No Zapier, no third-party automation tools eating into margins. Built it myself in a few evenings.

The reason I built this instead of buying a tool, my store is niche (Television subscriptions), so generic newsletter tools produce generic content. This one knows my audience, sports fans, streaming watchers, and writes specifically for them every single week.
