Hii
I'm a graphic designer
And i create posts like this
I used to be the parent who yelled first and apologized later.
Every night I'd put the kids to bed feeling guilty. "I'll do better tomorrow." But tomorrow always looked the same.
Then I learned one thing that changed everything: the 3-second pause.
Here's how it works:
The moment you feel the anger rising — don't speak
Count to 3 in your head
During those 3 seconds, take one deep breath through your nose
That's it. 3 seconds.
Why does it work? Because anger hijacks your brain for about 2-3 seconds. That's the window where you say things you don't mean. If you can ride out those 3 seconds without opening your mouth, the rational part of your brain catches up.
I went from yelling daily to maybe once a month. My 6-year-old told my wife, "Daddy doesn't get scary anymore." That sentence rewired my entire life.
This is just Step 1 of what I teach inside The Anger Fix. If you're a parent who's tired of the guilt cycle, come learn all 5 steps.
