Most 'new' Whop ideas are just repackaged trading groups. Here's what's actually unbuilt.
Spent the last few days digging through the Whop marketplace looking for whitespace. Out of hundreds of paid communities, it's almost entirely trading signals, sports picks, and coaching — barely any gamified, mechanic-driven products.
Things like penny auctions (bid resets a countdown, price ticks up a cent, last bidder wins — platform earns on every bid placed), loot-crate style reward openings, head-to-head skill wagers between community members, and descending-price 'hype drops' basically don't exist here yet, even though the infra to build them (payments, checkout, real-time experiences) is already native to Whop.
I'm building these out one at a time and posting the full blueprint — mechanic, monetization math, and build notes — over at Mo's Blueprints. First one in progress: a live descending-price auction called Reverse Drop.
If you're a builder looking for something that isn't another trading call group, this is worth a look.
