ES Shorts — Previous Day Live Session Trade

London Reversal → NY Continuation

HTF framework supported a retracement day, with the 9:30 open confirming the narrative for continuation lower.

The driver SS manipulation provided the setup, with ES maintaining bearish SMT relative to NQ and YM off the open.

This aligned with:

→ Intermediate IRL → ERL

→ HTF ERL → IRL

→ 9:30 narrative confirmation

→ Continuation entry lower

Clean alignment from the HTF framework into the intraday continuation.

Also took a ym trade that was a break even

For the most part, we stayed hands-off throughout the morning.

NQ had already expanded overnight without providing a proper HTF rebalance. I wasn’t comfortable engaging higher in the market without a 4H, 6H, or 7H rebalance to support continuation.

YM, on the other hand, was operating within a HTF Model 03: ERL → ERL, offering a 6AM 6H rebalance into discount and the HTF London Low (HTF Gap Model 02).

This came after YM left REQH above with a HOD Failure Swing, allowing me to frame the move lower as a retracement/manipulation, rather than a shift in the HTF framework, supporting further distribution higher.

Pairing this with:

→ Two-Stage PSP Continuation

→ M15 Intermediate Gap support

→ 6H C3 opening into a continuation

I was able to frame the 6H 12pm Open higher, targeting a return back into the High of Day for +3R.

This trade was also provided to the community in the chat prior to the move. We remained flat during the live NY session at open initially because the HTF rebalance I required had not yet been provided.

Once price delivered the proper location and confirmation, the framework was there to engage.
