start here: your first 5 steps

new here? do these 5 things in order. takes 20 minutes.

  1. read the five rules post. the five rules are the whole game. everything else is commentary.

  2. open the academy curriculum and start the comeback course. it is 9 chapters. you do not need to finish it today.

  3. watch one live session. i trade live every market day. just watch. do not trade what i trade until you understand the rules.

  4. post in the trade journal. one entry: your largest loss, what rule it broke, one number you will change. use the journal format post as your template.

  5. show up for the weekly review. the week gets dissected, wins and losses both.

that is the path. learn the rules, watch them executed live, journal your own trades, review weekly. skip the shortcuts, there are none.

the ledger, explained (read this first)

the number is -$478,449. that's the verified total of every options trade i took across every account i ever traded, 2021 through 2026. every row is published in the trade archive, wins and losses, including the ones i'd rather not publish.

how it works, so nobody has to take my word for it:

  • a trade is a closed options position. open positions don't count until they close.

  • totals include commissions and fees. nothing is excluded to make a number look better.

  • the big rows have broker statements behind them. the -$478,449 total is verified across every broker account i ever traded. if a number on this server doesn't have a receipt behind it, ask me for one.

the rebuild ledger is the running total from here. i update it every week in the weekly rebuild post: my trades, the rule i was following, whether i followed it or broke it, the result, the running total.

this is the whole brand. rules plus receipts. if i ever post a number without both, call me out in the comments.

results not typical. trading involves risk of loss.

where i've been (and why the room went quiet)

no posts in two months. that's on me, so here's the honest version.

july and august i went heads-down building the wholesaling operation. real business, real contracts, and it needed every hour. the trading didn't stop, it just went quiet and small: rules-first, documented, no heroics.

what didn't change: the ledger is still public, the rules are still the rules, and the loss is still -$478,449 across every book i ever traded.

what changes now: i'm back on a schedule. live signals every trading day. every week i post the rebuild ledger here: my trades, the rule i was following, whether i followed it or broke it, the result, and the running total. green weeks and red weeks both go up. tuesday live review every week, my trades first, then yours. one real post here a week, written by me, not a content machine. the auto-drip era is over. if a post doesn't have my fingerprints on it, it doesn't go up.

if you're new, start with the pinned start-here post. if you've been here a while, thanks for staying through the quiet. post what's on your mind below.

results not typical. trading involves risk of loss.

Day 1: a high-water mark is not money

At 12:59pm on 2025-08-25 one of my accounts printed a high-water mark of $399,867. That was a one-time intraday peak on the screen. It was never a month, never income, never a rate, and I never withdrew it.

The next trading session, 2025-08-26, the same account closed -$412,031 across 515 fills. One session.

The gap between those two numbers is the whole lesson, and it is not about being unlucky. It is about which number I was managing. I was managing the screen. The screen is unrealized, it is a quote on positions I still held, and it can be taken back in full without a single new decision from me.

The distinction, stated cleanly.

Realized is money that has left the position and settled as cash or as a booked loss. It cannot be revoked by the next tick.

Unrealized is an opinion the market is currently expressing about something you still own. It is real for reporting and it is not real for spending, for sizing the next position, or for deciding you are the kind of trader who can size up.

The failure mode is not that people do not know the difference. Everyone knows the difference. The failure mode is that unrealized profit silently raises your risk tolerance. A screen showing a large green number makes the next position feel free, because it feels like you are risking the market's money. You are not. You are risking your own money at a size you would have refused a week earlier.

What it looked like in my book. Across the moomoo account, 130 contract series, 65 finished green and 65 finished red. That is close to a coin flip, and a coin flip is survivable at a fixed size. It is not survivable when the size is set by how good the screen looked that morning.

Today's exercise. Ten minutes, on your own account.

  1. Write down your account's all-time high-water mark, and the date and time it happened.

  2. Write down your realized total, all closed positions, all time, fees included.

  3. Write the difference between them on the same line.

Most people have never seen those two numbers next to each other. If your high-water mark is well above your realized total, then the number you have been carrying in your head is a number you never actually had, and every risk decision you made using it was made with fake information.

You do not have to change anything today. Just look at both numbers. Tomorrow we look at the positions that were green and finished red, which is the same problem one level down.

the hold-time paradox in my own register

The strangest finding in my entire trade register, and the one that changed how I size:

The hold-time paradox. My fast holds, in and out the same session, made over +$190k at a 70-77% win rate. My 1-3 day holds lost -$267k at a 28% win rate.

Same account. Same tickers. Same person.

For years I told myself the fix was patience. "Stop overtrading, hold your winners." The data says the opposite was true for me: the longer a position sat, the more time my worst habit (adding to losers and praying) had to work on it.

The lesson is not "trade fast." The lesson is: your leak is probably not where you think it is, and you cannot find it without your own numbers in one place.

I put all 1,972 orders, the studies, and the 25 best and 25 worst trades in one document so you can see exactly how this kind of audit is done, then run it on your own book. Link below.

the 1.09 a day math

Some arithmetic I wish someone had shown me at 22:

One revenge trade on my register cost me more than 40 years of an Academy membership would.

That is not a sales line, it is a division problem. My average loss in the worst size bucket ran four figures. The annual plan is $399, which works out to about $1.09 a day.

What the $1.09 buys: the full curriculum (risk, sizing, the journal system), every trade I take posted with reasoning while it is still relevant, the weekly live review call, and a room of people rebuilding on rules instead of dopamine. Wins and losses both, education only, never signals or picks.

If you have been on the monthly plan and the room is working for you, annual is the same thing with two months free. If you are new, start with the free tier or the 7-day trial first and make sure it fits. No urgency theater here.

what 27 dollars buys here (and what 200 a month does not)

A quick word on what $27 buys here, because the alternative in this niche is renting someone else's picks for $200 a month.

Renting picks teaches you nothing. The month you stop paying, you are exactly where you started, minus the fees. I know because I have been on both sides of that trade.

The 9-Day Comeback to Green Challenge is the opposite bet: nine days, one system, installed once, yours forever.

Day 1-3: your numbers on paper. Account, max daily loss, position size formula. No opinions, arithmetic.

Day 4-6: the rules. Daily stop, Red Day Rule, the re-entry test.

Day 7-9: the journal loop, so the system audits itself every week.

It is built from what a verified -$478,000 taught me, so you do not have to pay that tuition yourself.

$27, one time, keep everything. Education, never signals or picks. Link below.

what the mentorship actually is (and who should not buy it)

A number of you have been looking at the mentorship page this week, so here is exactly what it is and who it is for, no mystery.

What it is: one call with me every month, plus direct access in between. We audit your actual book the way I audited mine: your numbers on paper, your daily stop, your sizing formula, your journal loop. You bring real trades, we work on the system that produced them. Education only, never signals, never picks, never managing your money.

Who it is for: traders with real size on the line who have already blown past their own rules more than once. If that sentence stung, it is for you.

Who it is not for: anyone looking for entries. I lost a verified -$478,000 partly by chasing other people's conviction. I will not sell you mine.

If $250 a month is not the right first step: start with the $27 challenge instead. Nine days, the same system, self-serve. Most people should start there, honestly. It is in the pinned START HERE post.

If you have questions about fit, ask them right here in the comments and I will answer publicly, so the next person gets the answer too.

Update: the $250/mo tier is now closed to new members. I am not reopening it until I can prove the 1-on-1 delivery on a schedule, and I would rather tell you that than sell you a call slot I cannot fill.

If you came for the system rather than the calls, the Academy already carries all of it: 16 courses, 149 lessons, the full curriculum.

Annual Academy: $399/yr, the whole curriculum for a year

If that is not the right first step, the nine day challenge is the same system, self-serve.

the drawdown rule I wish I had at the top

In August 2025 my account touched $400,786. One-time high-water mark, never a monthly number. By the end of the run I had given nearly all of it back, part of a verified -$478,000 total loss across every book I traded.

Here is the rule I did not have then, and the first thing that gets installed now:

The Daily Stop. Pick a loss number before the open. Hit it, you are done for the day. Not one more entry, not one "quick recovery."

My own register says the recovery trade is where the real damage lives: planned entries won 56% of the time. Revenge re-entries after a loss won 43%, with roughly double the damage per trade. Same trader, same tickers. The only difference was the state I clicked in.

Write your number down tonight. Post it in the comments if you want it on record. Accountability here is free.

If you want the full 9-day install, day by day, that is the challenge below.

rebuild log: july 13

quick build-log note from today.

the free Climb page had gone hidden since the 9th, so new people landing here couldn't actually get to the front door. found it, flipped it back on, confirmed live.

also cleaned up the pinned start-here post. it still referenced an old start date and a limited-time price that isn't running anymore. tightened it to match what is actually live today.

small, unglamorous fixes. but the room should always match reality, not last week. more as it happens.
