How I made my first $500 clipping content (exact breakdown)

Most people think you need to be a video editor to make money with short-form content. You don't.

Content clipping is one of the simplest ways to start earning online — you take long-form videos, pull the best 30-60 second moments, and post them as Shorts, Reels, or TikToks. Pages grow. Clients pay. It's that simple.

Here's the exact process:

1. Pick a niche that already has demand

Gaming, podcasts, fitness, finance — these all have creators who need clips but don't have time to make them. Don't overthink this. Pick one.

2. Find the "clip-worthy" moment

You're looking for emotional reactions, hot takes, funny moments, or anything that makes you stop scrolling. If it made you react, it'll make others react too.

3. Hook in the first 1-2 seconds

The clip needs to grab attention immediately. Start at the peak moment, not the buildup. Add a text hook at the top of the screen. This alone 2-3x your views.

4. Keep edits clean

Subtitles, slight zoom-ins on reactions, and a clean crop to 9:16. That's it. Don't over-edit. The content carries the clip.

5. Post consistently

3-5 clips per day on a faceless page. Within 2-4 weeks you'll start seeing real growth. Once a page hits 10k followers, you either monetize it or pitch it to clients.

I built Clipify to teach this exact system — from finding clips to landing your first paid client. If you're starting from zero, this is the fastest path I know.
