Why Melbourne doesn't have a proper spiced corn stall (yet)

I moved from Sri Lanka to Melbourne three years ago. The one thing I couldn't find anywhere was proper magic corn.

Not popcorn. Not a cob with butter. I mean actual flavoured corn โ€” soft, warm, loaded with coconut, chili, lime and spice, served in a cup. Street food that hits differently.

Melbourne has incredible food culture. Vietnamese, Korean, Ethiopian, Lebanese โ€” all world class. But for some reason, Sri Lankan street food barely exists here. And within that, the humble corn cup is completely absent.

So we built Cuppacorn.

Sri Lankan-inspired flavoured corn served fresh in a cup. We're doing original spice blends, seasonal flavours, and showing up at markets across Melbourne. No shortcuts on the spice, no watered-down "fusion" โ€” the real thing.

If you've had magic corn in Colombo or Kandy, you know exactly what I'm talking about. And if you haven't โ€” this is your introduction.

Melbourne deserved this years ago. We're just glad to be the ones bringing it. ๐ŸŒฝ
