Welcome to GLP-1 Companion: Routine Checklists & Support

Welcome to GLP-1 Companion. When starting or adjusting your GLP-1 dose, three daily habits make the biggest difference: 1) Prioritize 80-100g of protein to maintain lean muscle, 2) Track hydration with electrolytes to mitigate nausea and fatigue, and 3) Log your meals consistently before hunger cues become erratic. Use our interactive web app at to log your daily routines, or check out The Stall Guide if your weight loss trend has flattened out. Drop a comment below with which week or dose you are currently navigating!

Overcoming the Week 4 Plateau: Step-by-Step

Week 4 is when a lot of people on GLP-1s start to panic. The scale slows down. Hunger might creep back. Side effects shift. That does not mean the medication stopped working. It usually means your body is adapting, and your daily habits need to catch up.

Here is a practical checklist you can run this week.

1. Recalibrate protein first

Most plateaus at this stage are under-eating protein, not “broken” metabolism.

  • Aim for 1.6–2.2 g of protein per kg of ideal body weight (or roughly 90–130 g per day for many adults, split across 3–4 sittings).

  • Make protein the first bite of every meal. If appetite is low, use Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, eggs, a protein shake, canned tuna, or deli turkey.

  • Track one full day. If you are under 80 g, that is your first fix, not more cardio.

2. Hydration is not optional

GLP-1s blunt thirst as well as hunger. Mild dehydration looks like fatigue, constipation, headaches, and a stalled scale.

  • Target 2.5–3.5 L of fluids daily unless your clinician has given a different number.

  • Front-load: a full glass on waking, then a glass with every meal and dose.

  • Add electrolytes if you are nauseous, sweating, or eating very little. Skip sugary “hydration” drinks.

  • Constipated? Increase water before you pile on more fiber.

3. Daily habits that keep the dose working

  • Walk 7–10k steps or 20–30 minutes after your largest meal. Muscle and glucose disposal matter more now than week 1.

  • Strength train 2–3x this week (even 20 minutes of squats, rows, push-ups, or bands). Losing scale weight without protein + resistance is often muscle, which slows you down later.

  • Sleep 7–8 hours. Poor sleep raises hunger and water retention and makes a “plateau” look worse.

  • Alcohol and ultra-processed snacks: they add calories you barely notice when fullness cues are muted.

4. Symptom monitoring (write it down)

Keep a 7-day log. Note dose day, time of injection, nausea (0–10), bowel movements, protein grams, fluids, steps, and morning weight.

Red flags to message your clinician about, not tough out:

  • Persistent vomiting, inability to keep fluids down

  • Severe abdominal pain

  • Signs of dehydration (dizziness, very dark urine, racing heart)

  • Rapid heart rate or fainting

  • Mood changes that worry you

Common week-4 shifts that are usually manageable:

  • Mild nausea moving later in the day

  • Constipation

  • Food aversions

  • Scale bouncing 1–3 lb from water and digestion

5. If the scale has not moved in 7–10 days

Work this sequence, one change at a time:

  1. Hit protein and fluid targets for 5 days.

  2. Add a 20-minute walk after dinner.

  3. Check portions of liquid calories, sauces, and “tiny bites.”

  4. Weigh 3 mornings in a row after using the bathroom, same conditions. Use the average, not one day.

  5. Talk to your prescriber before changing dose. Do not self-increase.

6. Mindset for this week

Week 4 is adaptation, not failure. Non-scale wins count: clothes fitting, fewer cravings, better energy, smaller portions feeling enough.

If you want this as an interactive tracker instead of a sticky note, the GLP-1 Companion web app walks through daily habits, hydration, protein, and symptom notes in one place.

Save this post, run the checklist for one week, and come back with what shifted. You do not have to guess through the plateau alone.

Welcome & Quick-Start GLP-1 Checklist

Welcome to GLP-1 Companion.

This first-week routine checklist is here so you can settle in, stay hydrated, and build simple habits you can keep.

3 daily foundational steps

  1. Water goals. Aim for a consistent water target each day (most members start around 64–80 oz). Keep a bottle nearby, sip throughout the day, and log what you drink so you can see the pattern.

  2. First-week routine. Same wake time, meals at roughly the same hours, and a short walk after eating. Keep meals protein-forward and smaller if your appetite is down. Do not skip food entirely.

  3. Check-in. Once a day, note energy, nausea, and how the water goal went. If something feels off, post in this forum so the community can help you adjust.

Pin this and come back to it through week one. Introduce yourself below if you like. We are glad you are here.

On a GLP-1 and the scale suddenly isn't moving?

Before assuming you've failed or that your medication “isn't working anymore,” zoom out.

I created a simple Stall Audit that helps you organize your weight trend, routine changes, symptoms and questions before your next healthcare appointment.

It's part of my new GLP-1 Stall Guide. 🌿

I just launched my first digital product 👀🌿

It’s called GLP-1 Companion, and I built it for people who want a simpler way to organise the everyday side of their GLP-1 journey.

Inside I included:

🍽️ Meal planning tools

🛒 Grocery planner

🤖 Ready-to-use AI prompts

📊 Progress tracking

📝 Weekly check-ins

🌸 Lifestyle & routine tools

The part I’m most excited about is the AI Prompt Pack, because instead of just giving you another planner, it gives you prompts you can personalise when you need meal ideas, help organising your week, grocery planning or preparing questions for an appointment.

I put a lot into making the whole toolkit practical, simple and actually nice to use.

It’s live now for $9.99. 💚

Would genuinely love feedback from the Whop community.
