Most new Etsy/POD sellers obsess over making the "perfect" illustration and skip the thing that actually drives sales: file structure.

Here's what separates listings that convert from ones that flop:

1. Never sell a single flattened PNG as your only file.

Buyers commercializing your design (mugs, shirts, POD) need to resize, recolor, and isolate layers. If all you give them is one 3000x3000 PNG, you'll get refund requests and 3-star reviews for "not editable."
