Welcome to InvestorBrain — Here's What to Expect

Welcome to The Investor Mindset Course. You just made one of the best investments you'll ever make — an investment in how you think about money, risk, and opportunity.

What You're Getting

This is a 24-lesson, 8-chapter course designed to completely rewire how you think about capital. It's not a get-rich-quick scheme. It's a structured program that builds real, lasting financial intelligence.

Here's the roadmap:

  1. 🧠 Foundations of the Investor Mindset — Why mindset matters more than money

  2. 💰 Understanding Capital — What capital really is and how it works

  3. 🚀 Fundraising Fundamentals — How to raise capital like a pro

  4. 📊 Investment Principles — First principles that guide every smart investor

  5. ⚖️ Risk Management & Decision Making — Frameworks for thinking under uncertainty

  6. 🤝 Building Investor Relationships — Networking, due diligence, and negotiation

  7. 🔬 Advanced Strategies — Alternative investments, deal structuring, and tax strategy

  8. 📋 Your Investment Plan — Building your actual portfolio and 90-day action plan

How It Works

  • Lessons unlock progressively over ~4 months so you have time to absorb and apply each concept

  • Each lesson is text-based and designed to be read in 15-20 minutes

  • Action steps at the end of every lesson turn knowledge into practice

  • You'll earn a certificate of completion when you finish all 24 lessons

Community

Use the Student Community chat to connect with fellow students. Share wins, ask questions, and hold each other accountable. The best investors learn from each other.

One Rule

Do the work. Don't just read the lessons — complete the action steps. The gap between knowing and doing is where most people get stuck. Don't be most people.

Let's build your investor mindset. 💪

5 Mental Models That Separate Great Investors From Everyone Else

After studying hundreds of successful investors and founders, I've noticed they all share a few mental models that most people never develop. Here are five that changed how I think about money:

1. Think in Expected Value, Not Outcomes

Average investors ask: "Will this work?"

Great investors ask: "What's the probability-weighted return across all scenarios?"

A 20% chance of making 10x with an 80% chance of losing everything is a positive expected value bet (+1.2x). Most people can't stomach the 80% loss probability — which is exactly why the 20% scenario pays so well.

2. Your Network Is Your Net Worth (Literally)

The best deal you'll ever find will come through a relationship, not a screener. Investors who build genuine relationships get access to opportunities that never hit the public market.

This doesn't mean "networking" in the sleazy sense. It means becoming genuinely useful to people in your industry.

3. Time Is the Most Undervalued Asset

$10,000 invested at 10% annually:

  • After 10 years: $25,937

  • After 20 years: $67,275

  • After 30 years: $174,494

  • After 40 years: $452,593

Starting 10 years earlier is worth more than doubling your return. Yet most people spend more time debating stock picks than starting early.

4. Risk Is Not Volatility

Wall Street defines risk as price fluctuation. Real investors define risk as the permanent loss of capital.

Amazon stock dropped 90%+ during the dot-com crash. Was it "risky"? If you sold, yes. If you held, that "risk" turned into one of the greatest investments in history.

Understanding the difference between volatility and actual risk is a superpower.

5. The Best Investment Is in Yourself

Before you invest a dollar in the market, invest in your own knowledge, skills, and earning power. A $29/month course that increases your annual earnings by $10,000 has a return that no stock can match.

I built a full course around these principles and 19 others. It's called The Investor Mindset — a 24-lesson, text-based program that rewires how you think about capital, risk, and opportunity.

Whether you're a founder raising money, a young professional building wealth, or a side hustler figuring out where to put your money — this course was built for you.
