A 48-hour competition protocol for the athlete who has to perform tomorrow. Sleep, pressure, and start-day execution — not tactics.

The start is usually already lost the night before

Athletes talk about tactics, carbs, and warm-up blocks. Fair. Those matter.

What I keep seeing, though, is a different failure: the night before.

The event is real. Other people's expectations are louder than your own. You lie there replaying the start. Sleep fragments. You still show up. You just never quite get the first twenty minutes back.

That is not a character problem. It is a missing protocol.

The 48 hours around a competition are an operations problem: when to shut the noise down, what to eat, when to stop checking the phone, how to walk into T–7:00 without borrowing someone else's pressure.

I wrote the hour-by-hour version of that for the athlete buying it for themselves — not for a coach, not for a parent.

If you have a start this week and you already know tonight is going to be loud, that is who it is for.

I was aspiring and training hard to become a proffesional athlete(specifically a tennis player) for about 7 years. I have learned a lot about pre match routines sport psychology and everything that happens during practice, before starts and more. Now I have finally decided to share some of my knowladge with others.
