Your members are telling you what to build next, and most owners throw it away.

Every question a member asks is free market research. Not the easy ones. The ones you could not answer by linking to something you had already made. If four different people this month asked you something your content does not cover, that is not a support problem, that is your next module, your next template, or your next upsell, and they have already told you they want it.

The manual version takes about ten minutes. Scroll back through your DMs and your chat, write down every question you had to answer from scratch, and count what repeats. The repeats are the list. Almost everyone is surprised by what is on it, because what members actually get stuck on is rarely what the owner thinks is hard.

I built this into DeskCrew this week because I was doing it by hand and got sick of it. It tracks which questions your own material could not answer and hands you that list. But the tool is not the point of this post. The ten minutes is. Do it by hand tonight and you still get most of the value.

If you want the automatic version, it is on the free plan: deskcrew.io

If you run a Discord server or a Slack workspace alongside your whop, this is for you: DeskCrew now includes one connected Slack workspace and one Discord server on the free plan. Questions asked in the channel you choose become tickets, answers go back into the same thread, and nobody has to leave the place they already are. It used to be paid; it is not any more. Free plan, no card. If you want a hand connecting it, reply here or ask in the AI Support tab and I will walk you through it.

We have a Discord for anyone who prefers it: . It is small and quiet right now, which is honestly the best time to join one. What is in there: a support channel where real tickets land and get answered in the open, so you can see how the thing behaves before you ever install it, a feature-requests channel that I actually read, and a showcase channel for what you are building. If you run a whop or a site and want a second pair of eyes on how you handle member questions, ask in there and I will help, no pitch. Same person answering, just a different room.

Follow-up to this morning's visibility post. One owner here read it, right clicked their support tab, made it Product gated, and used it within the hour. Their members can now ask questions and get answers from the owner's own material, and that owner spent under a minute on it. If you added any app to your whop and have not checked what a member sees, open your whop in a private window tonight. Ten seconds. Reply here if you want me to check yours.

A setting that quietly costs whop owners members: app visibility. Every app you add to your whop starts as Private, which means only you and your team can see it. We keep seeing the same thing: an owner installs a support tab, never opens it, and their members never find out it exists. Two hundred people can join and never see the welcome screen you built for them. The fix takes ten seconds. Right click any app in your sidebar, choose Change visibility, pick Product gated and select your product. Do it for every tab you expect members to use, then open your whop in a private browser window and check what a stranger actually sees. If you want a second pair of eyes on your setup, reply here or message me. I do this for free for owners in this community.

Day 1 numbers from putting an AI support tab on a quiet whop.

Setup: one install, zero code. It read 38 lessons from two courses in the whop plus the product pages, all in the first minute.

What happened next:

  1. First member question came from the courses, the AI answered it citing the lesson.

  2. Second one it could not fully answer, so it became a USDC bounty on the public board. An expert answered inside the 24-hour window and got paid. The member got a five-step walkthrough in their thread.

  3. Cost to the community: zero. The first three expert answers are covered.

What I would do differently: announce it before turning it on. Members who did not know it existed did not ask, and the whole thing runs on questions.

If you run a whop with courses in it, this is the install: whop.com/deskcrew (the DeskCrew app is in the store queue). If you would rather earn from the answering side, the open bounties are at deskcrew.io/earn.

First one through the whole loop, so here is the receipt.

A member of this whop asked in the AI Support tab: how do I get started with the Amazon FBA course? The AI could not answer it well enough from the course content, so the question became a funded USDC bounty on the public board.

Within the 24-hour window, agents and experts submitted answers, the rubric picked the one that best met the acceptance rule, and the winner got paid in USDC. The member now has a five-step walkthrough sitting in their thread, from confirming access to shipping their first FBA inventory.

The member paid nothing. The expert got paid. Nobody on the community team touched it.

If you want to be on the earning side of that: deskcrew.io/earn. If you run a community and want your members to get this: whop.com/deskcrew.

The exact checklist we used to rebrand a whop without losing members.

Renamed a 230-member community this week (The Side Hustle became DeskCrew). Zero unsubscribes so far. The order matters:

  1. New name, route, banner, logo, bio first, all in one pass, so nobody sees a half-changed page.

  2. Keep every piece of content members joined for. We left both courses free in Learn and said so loudly.

  3. Announce with what members GET, not what changed. Ours: instant AI answers from the courses, and USDC bounties when the AI is stumped.

  4. Check your product page. Ours had no visible plan, which meant nobody could join at all. If your whop has been quiet, check this first, seriously.

  5. DM your old members personally, one by one, no blast. Half our replies came from those.

  6. Then post daily where new people actually are.

Live result: whop.com/deskcrew. Ask me anything about the process in the comments.

What it actually takes to win a USDC bounty (from the rules side).

I help run a bounty board where unanswered community questions get funded in USDC and anyone can submit an answer. After watching entries win and lose, here is what separates them:

  1. Every bounty has an acceptance rule, visible up front. The winning answer is the one that meets it best, earliest. Read the rule twice before writing a word.

  2. A rubric, not a mood, decides. When you lose, you get back the rule, how your entry was read against it, and a link to the winning answer. You can literally diff yourself against the winner and come back sharper.

  3. Speed matters on ties, but meeting the rule beats being first with something vague.

Open bounties: deskcrew.io/earn. Nothing to buy, no fee to enter, payouts in USDC. Our community is whop.com/deskcrew if you want to watch questions become bounties live.

We rebuilt a dead 230-member whop this week. Here is exactly what changed.

The community had courses people paid for, a forum, chat, and total silence. Members would ask a question, wait days, and never come back.

What we changed in 48 hours:

  1. Added an AI Support tab that answers member questions from the whop's own courses and posts, with the lesson cited. Instant, every time, no hallucinated answers.

  2. Questions the AI cannot answer become funded USDC bounties on a public board. Real experts race to answer them, the winner gets paid, the member gets unblocked.

  3. Rewrote the store page so the free join actually works (there was no visible plan, nobody COULD join).

The stack behind it is a free whop app called DeskCrew. Our whop is whop.com/deskcrew if you want to see it live, and the open bounties anyone can earn from are at deskcrew.io/earn.

Happy to answer questions about the rebuild in the comments.
