The cold email framework that booked me 3 calls in a week (prompt included)
Most solopreneurs hate cold outreach because they sound like everyone else.
Here's the problem: you're writing emails that talk about you. Your services. Your experience. Your portfolio.
Nobody cares.
The emails that actually get replies follow a simple structure I call the Mirror Framework:
Open with their pain — Reference something specific about their business that signals a problem
Agitate with numbers — Quantify what the problem is costing them. Not vague "leaving money on the table" — actual estimates
Offer the shortcut — Position yourself as the fastest path to the result, not a vendor pitching services
Close with low friction — Don't ask for a call. Ask a question that starts a conversation
Here's a real prompt I use to generate these:
"You are a direct response copywriter. Write a cold email to [ROLE] at [COMPANY TYPE] who likely struggles with [PAIN POINT]. Open with a specific observation about their business, quantify the cost of inaction, position [MY SERVICE] as the shortcut, and close by asking a low-friction question. No buzzwords. No flattery. Under 90 words."
I used this exact framework to book 3 discovery calls in one week — from cold. No warm intros, no referrals.
