I read 3 books a week so you don't have to
Most people buy books, read 2 chapters, and let them collect dust. No judgment — I used to do the same thing.
Then I started forcing myself to distill every book into its core ideas. Not a review. Not a summary that takes 30 minutes to read. Just the actual lessons you can use today.
Here's what I learned from doing this with 100+ books:
1. 90% of a book's value is in ~10% of the pages. Authors repeat themselves. A lot. Once you find the core framework, the rest is examples.
2. The best books aren't always the popular ones. Some of the most life-changing ideas I've found came from obscure books nobody talks about on social media.
3. Reading without applying is entertainment, not education. Every summary I write includes a "do this today" section — one concrete action you can take immediately.
I started The Summary Club to share these breakdowns with busy people who want to keep learning but don't have 5 hours a week to read.
It's free to join right now. Come see if it's useful.
