Welcome in. You made a good decision joining.
Here's how to get started:
1. Jump into Community Chat — introduce yourself, share what markets you're interested in, and connect with other beginners.
2. Check out Trading 101 — the course will walk you through the fundamentals step by step. Start from lesson 1 and work through at your own pace.
3. Follow Market Updates — I post daily analysis and breakdowns here. Turn on notifications so you don't miss anything.
The only rule: no question is too basic. Everyone started somewhere. Ask anything.
Let's get to work.
I've been trading for years and I've seen the same pattern hundreds of times. New traders blow up their accounts not because they're dumb — but because nobody told them the basics.
Here are the 3 biggest mistakes:
1. Trading without a plan. You open a position because "it looks like it's going up." No entry criteria, no exit criteria, no risk management. This is gambling, not trading. Before you enter ANY trade, know exactly: where you're getting in, where you're getting out if you're wrong, and how much you're willing to lose.
2. Risking too much per trade. New traders put 10-20% of their account on a single trade. One bad streak and they're done. The pros risk 1-2% max. It's boring, but it's why they're still trading 5 years later and you're not.
3. Switching strategies every week. You try a strategy, lose twice, and decide "this doesn't work." Then you find a new one on YouTube. Repeat forever. The truth is: most strategies work IF you give them enough time and follow them consistently. Pick one approach and commit for at least 30 trades before judging it.
I built The Trading Floor to help beginners avoid these exact mistakes. We break everything down from zero — chart reading, risk management, building a real strategy. No fluff, no hype, just fundamentals that actually work.
If you're serious about learning to trade the right way, come through.
