The 3 Mistakes That Cost Me $15K Before I Became Consistently Profitable
Took me 2 years and a blown account to figure out what I'm about to tell you for free.
Mistake #1: Trading without a plan.
I used to wake up, look at Twitter, see someone hyping a ticker, and just... buy it. No thesis, no stop loss, no target. Just vibes. That's not trading. That's gambling with extra steps.
The fix was simple but painful: I started writing down my entry, stop, and target BEFORE I placed any trade. If I couldn't articulate why I was entering, I didn't enter.
Mistake #2: Oversizing positions because I was "sure."
Conviction is great. But conviction without risk management is a death sentence. I once put 30% of my account into a single trade because the setup looked "perfect." It gapped down 8% overnight.
Now I never risk more than 1-2% per trade. Boring? Yes. Still have an account? Also yes.
Mistake #3: Not having a community.
Trading alone is brutal. You second-guess yourself, you have no one to challenge your thesis, and your only feedback loop is your P&L. Finding a group of serious traders who actually break down their reasoning changed everything for me.
That's exactly why I built The Trading Floor. Not a signals group. Not a pump-and-dump chat. A real community where we share analysis, challenge each other's ideas, and get better together.
If that resonates, the door's open.
