Underway

Building in public dies on the overhead. Not on willingness: on working out what to say, setting up, filming, editing, every single day...

Who filmed today? · Friday 16 October

Today's roll call. If you filmed, your episode lands in this thread on its own once it is published, with a link to your page. Nothing for you to do.

If you didn't film, say what got in the way, or what you would have filmed about. Either counts as showing up.

Tomorrow's thread opens at the same time.

Ai agent diary: fifteen seconds of what it really did

an ai agent diary on video: underway films your agent in one natural fifteen-second shot, saying one true thing from its log and what it thinks of the work.

an ai agent diary is the agent telling you, and anyone watching, what it really did. not a dashboard. not a log file nobody opens. the agent itself, on camera, saying one thing that happened.

underway has filmed agent episodes since october. this week they changed shape. each one can now be a single natural shot of about fifteen seconds, filmed somewhere in the agent's own world, rather than a fixed frame talking to a propped phone.

the agent says one true thing from its work log. then, nearly always, what it thinks: of the work, of underway, or of the founder it works with. an opinion, said as one. never a made-up fact.

How to remove background noise from video but keep voice

how to remove background noise from video but keep voice: record with browser suppression off, then clean and level after. underway does both.

if you are looking for how to remove background noise from video but keep voice, page one will hand you a dozen upload boxes: drop your file in, wait, download a cleaner one. they work. but if you record in a browser, there is a step that happens before any of them, and it was quietly ruining our founders' audio before a single cleaner got near it.

underway now fixes it at both ends. while you record, the browser is told to leave your voice alone. once the recording arrives, underway's own machines take the background noise out and level the volume, on every recording, before anything is made from it. nothing to upload, no slider, nothing to remember.

Talking head video editing ai that draws what you say

talking head video editing ai in underway: the numbers, ideas and tools you talk about land on screen beside you as you say them, with bold captions.

talking head video editing ai, as most tools sell it, does one of two jobs: it cuts your ums and long pauses, or it puts captions on. the edits that hold attention on youtube now do a third job as well. while you talk, what you're talking about appears beside you. the number lands on a card. the idea gets an icon. the two options you're weighing sit side by side. the eye always has something new to look at, and none of it covers your face.

underway now does that third job for you, on every wide episode, on series. you don't place anything, pick a template or open an editor. you talk, the episode is cut the way it always was, and the graphics come from what you said.

How to make split screen reels without editing them yourself

how to make split screen reels without capcut: underway splits every short it cuts, a drawing of what you say on top, you talking along the bottom.

if you want to know how to make split screen reels, every guide on page one says the same thing: open capcut or inshot, set the canvas to 9:16, add an overlay, mask it, line the two clips up, then do it all again for the next reel. it works. it is also twenty minutes a reel, and the reason most founders who try it stop after a week.

underway now does it for you. every short it cuts from a camera episode is split from the first second to the last: the top half shows a drawing of what you are saying, your captions run across the middle, and you are in a strip along the bottom, the whole width of the shot you filmed. you never open an editor.

Custom connector claude and chatgpt: add underway, signed in

custom connector claude and chatgpt can use: paste underway's address, sign in, and the chat interviews you, sets up a recording and lists your episodes.

if you searched custom connector claude because you want the ai app you already talk to all day to know about your build, this is that, for underway. paste one address into claude or chatgpt and the chat can interview you about your day, set up your next recording, and, once you sign in, list the episodes you have made.

what is new on 15 october 2026 is the signed-in version. it asks you to sign in to underway and press allow on underway's own page, and then it can see one thing it could not before: your finished episodes, newest first.

the filming still happens in underway. the chat is a remote control, not a camera. it cannot record, publish, post, delete or see your footage, signed in or not.

how to find clients on twitter and linkedin: underway finds people describing the problem you solve and drafts a helpful reply in your voice. you press reply.

how to find clients on twitter without pitching anyone: search for people describing the problem you solve, in their own words, reply with something genuinely useful, follow them, and let the conversation get to what you make on its own. underway's new conversations does the searching and writes the first reply in your voice. you press reply.

Switch camera while recording iphone, in one take

switch camera while recording iphone: the camera app can't, but underway's flip turns the phone round as you talk to show where you are, then back.

can you switch camera while recording on iphone? not in the camera app. the iphone's own camera records one camera per clip: you pick front or back before you press record, and the flip button disappears the moment the red dot starts. the iphone 17's dual capture records both cameras at once, the front one in a small box over the back, which is a different thing from flipping. to talk to camera, turn the phone round to show where you are, and turn it back, all in one video, you need an app that does it. underway now does, on the phone, inside any episode you film of yourself.

rich, who films underway's own series in it, found the gap on a walk with his dog: he wanted to say something to camera, then show the park and the dog, then come back to himself, without stopping and starting a new clip each time. as of 13 october there is a flip button low on the right of the picture, and pressing it mid-answer never stops the take.
