Why most beginner traders blow up their first account (and how to not be one of them)
Been building out The V Academy and wanted to share the pattern I see over and over with new traders:
They skip the boring part. Everyone wants the signal, the entry, the alert. Almost nobody wants to learn why the trade works. So the second the market does something they haven't seen before, they freeze or panic-exit.
The traders who actually make it long-term all did the same three things early on:
They paper traded until it was boring. Not for a week — for months. Boring is the point.
They picked ONE setup and mastered it before touching a second strategy. Most beginners chase 5 strategies and master none.
They tracked every trade with a reason, not just a result. Win or lose, if you can't explain why you took it, you didn't learn anything from it.
Starting a community (The V Academy) focused specifically on beginner-to-intermediate day traders who want the fundamentals done right — daily market breakdowns, live signal calls, and an actual curriculum instead of just a chat full of noise.
