The 3 Price Objections That Kill Warm DM Sales (And What to Say Instead)

If you're a coach or consultant selling through Instagram DMs or WhatsApp, you already know the pattern:

Someone finds you. They're interested. They ask questions. The conversation is going great. Then you share your price and they say one of these three things:

1. "It's too expensive."

Most people hear this and immediately want to justify. They start listing features, explaining their credentials, or — worst of all — offering a discount before the prospect even asked for one.

The problem isn't your price. The problem is they haven't connected the price to a specific outcome they care about. Your job isn't to defend. It's to redirect the conversation back to what they told you they needed.

2. "I need to think about it."

This one feels polite, so most coaches just say "Sure, take your time!" and then never hear from the prospect again.

"I need to think about it" almost never means they need to think. It means something specific is unresolved — they're unsure about fit, timing, or whether this is actually different from the last thing they bought. If you don't surface what's really behind it, the conversation dies in their inbox.

3. "Can you do a lower price?"

This is where most coaches panic. They either say yes immediately (and resent it later) or say no and feel like they lost the deal.

Neither is the right move. The real response is to reframe what the price includes relative to the gap between where they are now and where they want to be. Not a pitch — a question that makes them re-evaluate what "expensive" actually means in context.

---

The pattern behind all three is the same: the prospect is interested but stuck. They're not saying no. They're saying "I need a reason to say yes."

Most coaches don't have a clear way to give them that reason in a DM without sounding salesy.

That's exactly what The Price Objection Response Script is built for. One digital download. Specific lines for warm conversations. No courses. No coaching. Just the words that move the conversation forward.
