๐Ÿ’ฐ The real math: how much you save

Let's be honest about the numbers instead of using a best-case scenario.

A typical office takeaway lunch in the US averages $12-16 (up to $23+ in major cities, per 2026 cost data). A home-cooked meal, done reasonably (not stripped to the bare minimum), averages around $4 per serving (USDA Food Plan data puts it between $2.74-$6.29 depending on how thrifty you shop).

Using conservative, real numbers:

  • Typical takeaway cost over 14 days (20 meals): ~$280 (at $14/meal)

  • This system's ingredient cost over 14 days: ~$80 (~$4/serving average across all 10 recipes)

  • Estimated savings: ~$200 over two weeks

That's still a massive difference, and it's a number you can actually trust, not an inflated best-case scenario. The system includes a savings tracker so you can log your own real numbers as you go.

๐Ÿ’ก Prep tip: the single session that changes everything

One of the things that changed my office-worker life the most: cooking in a single 60-90 minute session on the weekend, instead of cooking every day.

In the full system, every recipe is designed to run in parallel with another (rice cooks while chicken browns, the oven runs while you throw together a cold salad). Result: in 90 minutes, you walk away with 5 complete meals, ready for the whole week.

If you're struggling to find time to cook during the week, start by blocking just one slot on Sunday. Everything else follows on its own.

๐Ÿ‘‹ Welcome to PrepWell!

Hey! I'm Charlie, the creator of PrepWell.

I built The 14-Day Workweek Meal Prep System because I found myself, like a lot of you, spending a fortune on takeaway during the workweek not out of laziness, but out of a lack of time and organization.

This system isn't a complicated diet. It's a practical plan: 2 prep sessions per week, ordinary supermarket ingredients, under 30 minutes of active cooking per recipe. The goal: less wasted time, less waste, fewer decisions to make every lunchtime.

Want to try before you buy? I've put together a free sample with 2 recipes + a shopping list ๐Ÿ‘‰ check the Products tab.

Looking forward to seeing you cook a little simpler! ๐Ÿฅ—
