Spent years around competitive swimmers and the #1 complaint is never the price — it's fabric breakdown. Chlorine eats standard nylon-spandex blends fast, and most retail swimwear isn't built for daily pool exposure.

A few things worth checking before you buy your next suit, whether from us or anywhere else:

1. Fabric composition — look for polyester-PBT blends over pure nylon-spandex. PBT resists chlorine degradation significantly longer.

2. Compression construction — flatlock stitching vs. standard overlock. Flatlock lasts longer under repeated stretching from dives and turns.

3. Colorfastness — cheap dyes fade to a dull grey within weeks of daily training. Ask if the fabric is chlorine-tested for color retention.

4. Fit for purpose — training suits and racing suits are NOT the same cut. Training suits should be looser through the torso for durability; racing suits sacrifice longevity for drag reduction.
