the best closer i ever watched didn't say anything special.
he just let the lead talk himself into buying. by the end of the call the prospect was basically closing himself. that's when i realized the whole "sales is about talking" thing is completely backwards.
the second someone feels like they're being sold to it's over. smoke screens go up, trust goes down, deal dies down. but when you make someone feel like the solution was their own idea they don't just buy, they thank you for it.
pressure doesn't close deals. Having a proper diagnosis and building clarity does. your job on a call isn't to convince anyone of anything. it's to help them see their own problem so clearly that not buying feels like the dumb option.
that's the difference between a rep who grinds for every close and one who makes it look easy. and that's exactly what we're building in here.
