I've been trading for years, and I see the same patterns with every new trader who blows up their account. Here's what to watch for:

1. Trading without a plan

You see a stock moving up, you FOMO in, it drops, you panic sell. Sound familiar? Every single trade should have an entry point, a stop loss, and a profit target BEFORE you click buy. No plan = gambling.

2. Risking too much per trade

If you're putting 20-50% of your account into one position, you're one bad trade away from being done. The rule: never risk more than 1-2% of your total account on a single trade. This is how you survive long enough to actually get good.

3. Chasing indicators instead of understanding price action

RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands — they're all lagging. They tell you what already happened. Learn to read a chart first. Understand support, resistance, and volume. The indicators comes later.

The market doesn't care about your feelings. It rewards discipline and punishes impulse. Start there and you're already ahead of 90% of beginners.
