The 5 places electrical jobs leak money

If you run your own electrical work, money usually leaks in the same five places:

  1. Quotes with no written scope

  2. Change orders that never make it onto the invoice

  3. Material cost you guessed instead of tracked

  4. Jobs you finished but never billed

  5. License and insurance dates you only remember when they expire

A notebook, a text thread, and three leftover spreadsheets will not catch that. One tracker will.

Electrician Job & Invoice Tracker puts quotes, jobs, costing, invoices, and licenses in one spreadsheet. One-time. $29.99.

Most electrical jobs don't lose money on labor. They lose it in the gaps.

If you run your own jobs, the money usually disappears in four places — and none of them are the hourly rate.

1. Quotes that miss materials. You remember the panel and the homeruns. You forget the fittings, the extra box, the trip fee. The job is underwater before you pull wire.

2. Jobs that sit in "quoted." You sent the number. They said they'd think about it. Two weeks later you have no idea which quotes are still alive.

3. Invoices that go out late. You finished Friday. You billed the following Wednesday. Cash sits in their pocket, not yours.

4. License and permit dates. Nobody plans to let a license lapse. It just happens when the dates live in a drawer.

I built a tracker for this: one spreadsheet for quotes, jobs, costing, invoices, and license dates. Not because spreadsheets are fancy. Because that's what most of us already work in.

If you're a solo or small shop, that's the whole product.
