2. They manage risk before managing profit.

Position sizing. Stop losses. Max daily loss limits. Hard rules they never break. The ones who blow up always say "just this once."

3. They invest in their mental game.

Trading is mental athletics. Health, sleep, nutrition, stress management — it all shows up in your P&L. I've seen guys turn it around just by fixing their sleep and cutting junk food.

These are the foundations. Everything else is noise.
