The 3 mistakes every new trader makes (and how to avoid them)

I've been trading stocks for years, and I see the same 3 mistakes destroy beginners over and over again.

1. Trading without a plan. You see a stock going up, you buy. It drops, you panic sell. Sound familiar? Every trade should have an entry, a target, and a stop loss BEFORE you click buy. No exceptions.

2. Risking too much per trade. New traders throw 30-50% of their account into a single position. That's not trading — that's gambling. Risk 1-2% of your account per trade. You'll survive the losses and compound the wins.

3. Chasing "hot tips" instead of learning the skill. Someone on Twitter says a stock is going to the moon. You buy the top. The people who actually make money in the market have their own process — they don't need tips.

The fix? Build a simple, repeatable system. Learn to read charts, manage risk, and control your emotions. It's not glamorous, but it works.

That's exactly what we teach inside TradeVault — stock trading education built for people with a 9-to-5 who want to build real wealth on the side.
