What happened wasn't the strategy — it was execution. Backtests don't have your hands shaking on a losing streak. They don't have you moving your stop because "it'll probably bounce." They don't have you doubling size after two wins because you feel invincible.
A strategy is only as good as your ability to run it the same way, every single time, especially when it's uncomfortable. That's the actual skill. Not finding the next indicator combo.
If you're serious about fixing this, the fastest path is having someone watch your execution live and call out the leaks in real time — that's most of what my private sessions actually do. Momentum reading and structure are teachable in a weekend. Discipline under live risk isn't, unless someone's in the trenches with you.
