3 Things I Wish I Knew Before My First Trade
I blew my first account in 2 weeks. Here's what I learned so you don't have to:
1. You don't need to trade every day.
Most beginners think more trades = more money. Wrong. The best traders are patient. They wait for high-probability setups and skip the noise. If you're forcing trades, you're gambling.
2. Risk management isn't optional — it's the whole game.
Before you even think about entries, know your stop loss. Know how much you're risking per trade. I use a simple rule: never risk more than 1-2% of your account on a single trade. Boring? Maybe. But you'll still have an account next month.
3. Paper trade first. Seriously.
Your ego will tell you to skip this. Don't. Spend AT LEAST 2-4 weeks paper trading to learn how the market moves, how orders work, and how YOU react when a trade goes against you. It's free tuition.
The market will always be there. Take your time, build a real foundation, and the money will follow.
