A simple habit for NinjaTrader 8 charts:

1. Mark the session first — know the open range, mid, and where liquidity may have been swept before you plan anything.

2. Then read structure — HH/HL vs LH/LL, plus any BOS/CHoCH, so you see whether the market is continuing or shifting.

3. Only then decide — the overlays print calculation output. They do not tell you what to do.
