They fail because the product could never win.
I keep seeing the same pattern from beginner and intermediate store owners:
They spend two weeks on the theme.
They spend three days on a logo.
They turn ads on for a product they scored with “it was all over TikTok.”
TikTok is not a scorecard.
If you cannot answer these in writing, do not buy inventory and do not buy ads:
Landed cost vs. retail — can you survive 2.5x ROAS after shipping and fees?
Can you film 5 different hooks this week, or is there only one boring unboxing?
Two suppliers, or one person on WhatsApp?
Shipping under 15 days to your main market?
Is this a 90-day trend or a 9-day spike?
If margin, shipping, or differentiation is weak, kill it. A beautiful store selling a dead product is still a dead business.
Score three ideas this week. Launch one. Ignore the rest.
That’s the whole game at the beginning. Ads come after the product can actually take a punch.
