The 12-minute turnover that doesn't smell like a hotel
Most hosts over-clean and still get "smelled like chemicals" in the reviews.
Guests don't want a sterile hotel. They want a place that feels looked-after, not bleached.
The 12-minute pass:
Bathroom first — toilet, sink, glass. This is where reviews are won or lost.
Kitchen surfaces and the fridge handle. Guests touch these immediately.
One glass pass on the entry door and bathroom mirror.
Fresh linen, not bleach. If you can still smell the cleaner after 10 minutes, you used too much.
Don't restock from the grocery aisle. Those bottles are sized for a family home, not a 2-hour turnover. Host-grade means fewer SKUs, faster restock, and no half-bottles rotting under the sink.
