Brands ghost you because your rates look like a text message

I used to send rates like this:

"hey 15 sec is 350, 30 is 475, ads extra, lmk"

Then I waited. They "circled back with the team." They never did.

Here is what actually gets a yes, or a clean no, in 24 hours:

1. One PDF, not a chat bubble.

Name, niche, three video lengths, three packages, usage add-ons, deposit, turnaround. If they have to ask "does that include ads?" you already lost.

2. Price organic and paid separately.

Organic 30 days is the base. Paid 30 / 90 / 12 months is a percentage on top. Whitelisting is a line item. If you bury ads inside the base rate, they will run Spark Ads for a year and you will eat it.

3. Lock the brief before you film.

Must-say lines (max 3). Words you will not say. CTA. Ship-to. Deadline. If those five are blank, you are volunteering for two extra revision rounds.

4. Invoice the day the files go out.

Net 7. Deposit 50% to book. Files stay licensed after the balance clears — write that down.

Mid-tier 2026 USD ballpark I use as a starting point, not a religion: 15s $350, 30s $475, 45–60s $650, organic 30 days. Paid 90 days is +75%. Your face, your niche, your city will move that.

If you want the templates (rate card, brief, invoice, rights, hooks, tracker) they live in The UGC Desk Kit. If you do not, copy the structure above and send something that looks like you have done this more than twice.
