Unlock the theological and philosophical defenses of Islam

ʻAqīdah Unlocked is a non-divisive course in Islamic theology/al-Kalām. The course objective is building a strong foundation in the fundamentals of Islamic theology, which equips the modern-day Muslim with philosophical tools to defend their faith in the age of scientism and new atheism.

Muslim theologians in the past produced formidable defenses for Islamic thought and civilization against the challenges they faced in their time. Think of al-Imām al-Ghazālī and al-imām al-Rāzī as an example. While their works contain the principles and fundamental arguments that protect and express the superiority and coherence of the Islamic thought and creed, they are not accessible to many Muslims due to their complexity, time and language barriers.

Aqīdah Unlocked attempts to uncover those very principles to build a strong Islamic philosophical foundation. The course is primarily based on the text of 19/20th century Indian polymath Ashraf ʻAlī al-Tahānawī, who synthesised the arguments against rationalism and scientific dogma in 7 principles. The text also looks at some common doubts around key beliefs, including Predestination, Heaven and Hell, and Miracles, etc.
