I spent $200 on craft knives before I found the right one. Here's what I learned.

Most people buy the cheapest craft knife they can find. Then the blade slips. The handle wobbles. They throw it out and buy another one.

I went through 6 different knives before I figured out what actually matters:

1. Aluminum body, not plastic. Plastic flexes under pressure. Aluminum stays rigid. Your cuts stay straight.

2. Interchangeable blades are non-negotiable. Different cuts need different blade profiles. Fine-point for detail work. Curved for sweeping cuts. If your knife only has one blade type, you're limiting yourself.

3. A cutting mat saves your blades AND your table. Self-healing mats absorb the blade tip instead of dulling it against a hard surface. Your blades last 3-4x longer.

4. Buy blades in bulk. A dull blade is more dangerous than a sharp one — you push harder, you slip. Always have fresh blades ready.

I put together a starter kit with everything I wish I had from day one. Pen cutter, 10 blades, cutting mat, steel ruler, plus 3 bonus items.

50% off right now while I clear the first batch. Once these 50 are gone, price goes back up.
