The 3-Hour Daily Routine That Actually Works for UPSC
Most aspirants waste 10+ hours daily and still don't clear Prelims.
Here's the thing — it's not about hours. It's about structure. After studying hundreds of toppers' strategies, here's a 3-hour daily framework that actually moves the needle:
Hour 1: Current Affairs (Morning)
Read ONE quality newspaper editorial (The Hindu/Indian Express)
Make 5 bullet-point notes connecting it to the syllabus
Link each topic to at least 2 GS papers
Hour 2: Answer Writing (Afternoon)
Pick 1 PYQ from any GS paper
Write the answer in 150 words, strict 7-minute limit
Focus on structure: intro → body (2-3 points) → conclusion
Review a model answer after
Hour 3: Revision (Night)
Revise yesterday's current affairs notes
Review 20 flashcards from static portions
Quick scan of your weak areas
Why this works:
Builds the 3 core skills (knowledge, writing, revision)
Sustainable even if you're working a job
Compounds massively over 6-12 months
The toppers aren't geniuses. They're just more consistent.
I'm building BRAIN STORM UPSC as a community where we do this together — daily current affairs, answer writing practice, and strategy breakdowns.
It's free to join. Come be consistent with us.
