Most foundations fail because they try to be a mask
Sensitive skin does not need more coverage. It needs less of everything else.
Fragrance is the usual culprit. Then essential oils, then a film so thick it sits on the face instead of looking like skin. By noon it has moved, by evening it has marked your collar.
The Foundation is a thin, water-based layer. No perfume. Light coverage on purpose. You even the redness, then you stop. If you can see it from across the room, you put on too much.
Apply with fingers. A sponge if you want it sheerer. Build only where you need it — typically the sides of the nose, under the eyes, around the mouth.
Shade is Light, Medium, or Deep. If you are between two, take the lighter one. A heavy match looks worse than a slight mismatch you can sheer out.
