5 Things Most People Forget When Planning a Family Party
After hosting hundreds of birthday parties, quinceañeras, and family reunions at Juru Park, we've noticed the same mistakes come up again and again. Here's what to think about before your next big gathering:
1. Parking & drop-off logistics
Nothing kills the vibe faster than guests circling a parking lot for 20 minutes. Map it out in advance and include it in your invites.
2. A timeline buffer
Things always run 30-45 minutes behind. Build that into your schedule instead of fighting it. Your DJ, caterer, and photographer will thank you.
3. A dedicated kids zone
Even if it's just a corner with some activities, giving the kids their own space means the adults actually get to enjoy themselves.
4. Power outlets and WiFi
Your DJ needs power. Your photo booth needs WiFi. Walk the venue beforehand and know where everything plugs in.
5. A rain backup plan
Outdoor events are beautiful until they're not. Always have a Plan B for weather, even if the forecast looks perfect.
At Juru Park, we help families think through all of this before event day — so you can focus on celebrating, not problem-solving.
