3 things I stopped doing that immediately improved my win rate
I've been trading for over 6 years and I've tried every strategy, indicator, and guru method out there. But my biggest breakthroughs came from what I stopped doing.
1. I stopped trading the open. The first 15-30 minutes are pure emotion. Big spreads, fakeouts, and liquidity grabs. I started waiting for the dust to settle and entering after the first pullback confirmed direction. My entries got cleaner overnight.
2. I stopped stacking indicators. At one point I had RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands, and VWAP all on the same chart. The signals contradicted each other constantly. Now I use price action + volume. That's it. Simplicity wins.
3. I stopped revenge trading. This was the hardest one. After a loss, the instinct is to jump back in and "get it back." Every time I did that, the loss doubled. Now I have a rule: after two consecutive losses, I walk away for the day. No exceptions.
These aren't flashy. They're boring. But boring works.
