I've spent the last few years as a medical intern watching the same pattern repeat: a patient with multiple chronic conditions gets stabilized, discharged, and told to 'follow up in two weeks.' Somewhere in that gap, things quietly go wrong — a slow rise in resting heart rate, a drop in blood oxygen overnight, weight gain from fluid retention. By the time it shows up as a symptom the patient notices, it's often an ER visit instead of a med adjustment.

The data to catch this earlier already exists. Consumer wearables now track HRV, SpO2, sleep, and activity continuously — far more granular than a single vitals check at a follow-up appointment. The problem has never been the sensors. It's that nobody on the clinical side is looking at the data, and patients have no structured way to hand it to their care team.

That's the gap I'm building VitalArc to close: a physician-supervised layer that turns a patient's wearable data into longitudinal trends, flags early deterioration against clinician-set thresholds, and gives patients, doctors, and families the same shared picture — instead of everyone finding out at different times, usually too late.
