The part of building a business nobody sells you

Everyone sells the tactics: pricing, offers, funnels. Almost nobody talks about the part that actually breaks people first: the mindset that decides whether you follow through when the first week doesn't work.

I've seen the same pattern over and over. Someone launches, gets zero sales in week one, and quits before week two because they read "no sales" as "bad idea" instead of "not enough reps yet." The business dies from a discipline problem, not a market problem.

The fix isn't motivation. It's building a decision system before you need willpower: a fixed weekly minimum of outreach or content regardless of mood, a rule for when you're allowed to pivot (after X attempts, not after X bad days), and a way to separate "this offer doesn't work" from "I'm scared and looking for an exit."

If you're building something right now, the tactics matter less than whether you've decided in advance what will make you quit. Decide that on a good day, not a bad one.
