How I structure a webinar affiliate promo in 3 steps (with a free KPI template)
Most webinar affiliates burn out in 60 days. Not because the offers are bad — because they're winging it.
Here's the 3-step system I use to promote a webinar affiliate offer from discovery to payout:
---
Step 1 — Promo Kit Before You Promote Anything
Before you touch a single ad or email, build your promo kit:
Subject lines (at least 5, tested on cold lists)
Email sequence (3-part minimum: tease → day-of → replay)
Swipe copy for social (5 variations, different angles)
Tracking links — one per channel, never combine traffic sources
Most affiliates skip the kit. Then they can't tell which channel converted. Don't do that.
---
Step 2 — Weekly KPI Dashboard
Every week I track 6 numbers only:
Registrant conversion rate
Show-up rate
Cost per registrant (by channel)
Revenue per show-up
Refund rate
Net payout (after fees)
If any one of these drops >15% from the prior week, I pause and diagnose before adding more spend.
KPI ranges that mean you're healthy:
Show-up rate: 40–60%
Revenue per show-up: $30–$80+ depending on ticket size
Refund rate: <8%
---
Step 3 — Client Onboarding SOP
If you're pitching webinar hosts to promote for them (vs. open affiliate programs), you need an onboarding SOP they can trust:
Kick-off call agenda (15 min, cover tracking, swipe access, deadlines)
Shared asset folder (drive link, organized by promo date)
Weekly check-in format (email or Loom, 2 min max)
Reporting template (screenshot your stats every Monday)
Hosts who trust your process will give you better commission tiers.
---
I run all of this inside a structured mentorship program where I give members the actual templates, automation workflows, and weekly drop of new SOPs.
If you want the KPI template (Google Sheets, ready to use), drop a comment and I'll share it here.
