I tracked 23 Etsy webinars — here's the one thing that separated 70% show-up from 25%
Over the past year I ran and tracked 23 webinars for Etsy sellers. Same topics, same quality, same audience size.
The difference between the ones that had 70%+ attendance and the ones that barely cracked 25%? It wasn't the topic. It wasn't the time of day. It wasn't even the audience warmth.
It was the reminder sequence.
The webinars where I sent a single "don't forget!" email the day before? 25-30% show-up. Every time.
The webinars where I ran a structured 7-email + 3-SMS sequence with micro-commitments baked in? 65-78% show-up. Every. Single. Time.
Here's what most Etsy sellers get wrong: they think reminders are annoying. They send one email and hope for the best because they don't want to "spam" people.
But here's the data: registrants who receive 5+ touchpoints before the event are 3.2x more likely to show up than those who receive 1-2.
The key is that each touchpoint adds new value — not just "hey, remember this exists." A quick win tip, a curiosity hook, a pre-work assignment that makes them psychologically invested.
If you're running webinars for your Etsy audience and your show-up rate is below 50%, your content isn't the problem. Your pre-event system is.
I built an entire framework around this. It's what I teach inside TitleCraft Academy.
