The engagement high makes you want to commit to everything immediately. Slow down. The best deals come to couples who compare at least 3 options for every major vendor.

3. Ignoring the hidden costs

Service charges, overtime fees, cake cutting fees (yes, that's a thing), gratuities. These add 15-25% on top of every quote you get. Always ask: "What's NOT included in this price?"

4. Not having a B-list for the guest list

Send A-list invites early. When RSVPs come back as "no," you have time to invite B-list guests without them feeling like an afterthought.
