The 5-Layer Filter Stack We Use to Find WNBA Player Prop Edges

Most people betting WNBA player props are just staring at a points line and guessing. Here's the actual filter stack we run every single card:

1. Matchup Filter — who is this player guarded by, and what does that defender's on/off split look like over the last 10 games?

2. Usage Rate Filter — is usage trending up or down over the last 5 games? A prop line often lags a real usage spike by 2-3 games — that's your edge window.

3. Line Movement Filter — where did the line open vs. where is it now? Steam moves without news are a signal. No movement on a big usage spike is a signal too.

4. Matchup Defense Filter — pace-adjusted defensive rating vs. position, not just "good defense/bad defense." A team can be elite overall and still bleed to one position.

5. Situational Filter — back-to-backs, altitude, travel, rest advantage, revenge-game narratives. Small edges, but they stack.

Run all 5 and you stop betting vibes and start betting a process.
