In this hands-on project you build a Python tool that turns a title into a clean cover image in your own colours, font and logo, sized for YouTube thumbnails, Shorts/Reels covers or square posts. Make one, or make a whole batch from a list of titles.

What you’ll build

• make_cover.py: a title in, a finished PNG out
• A settings file for your colours, font, handle and logo
• Background photos with automatic cropping and a darkening layer so text stays readable
• Batch mode: one cover per line of a titles file

What you’ll learn

• How images are drawn with code (Pillow)
• Fitting text automatically: wrapping, shrinking and safe margins
• The right sizes for YouTube, Shorts/Reels and square posts
• Fixing the usual problems (font not found, missing logo, title too long)
