In this hands-on project you build a small Python tool that pulls today’s trending coding and tech topics from Hacker News, dev.to and GitHub, filters them by your own keywords, and remembers what you’ve already used so it never suggests a repeat.

What you’ll build

• find_topics.py: a numbered list of fresh topics with their source and link
• A keyword file so it only shows what you care about (Python, AI, JavaScript…)
• A memory file that skips topics you’ve used, even when the title is worded differently

What you’ll learn

• Pulling data from three free public APIs, and respecting their limits
• Cleaning and combining results from different sources
• Spotting near-duplicates with a simple similarity score
• Handling the usual problems (a source is down, no internet, a broken history file)
