Main DPS

• Aemeath (Fusion, Sword): #1 overall, best Tune Rupture carry, highest damage ceiling, clears everything.

• Camellya (Havoc, Sword): Best sustained single-target & AoE, easy rotation, F2P-friendly.

• Jinhsi (Spectro, Broadblade): Strong burst, flexible, great for quick-swap teams.

• Carlotta (Glacio, Pistol): Consistent damage, great for long fights, very stable.

Supports / Sub-DPS

• Lynae (Spectro, Rectifier): Best buffer in game, 24% team DMG + 25% Resonance Lib DMG, core of every top team.

• Mornye (Electro, Gauntlets): Tune Rupture enabler, huge debuffs, pairs perfectly with Lynae.

• Shorekeeper (Spectro, Rectifier): Best healer + Crit Rate/DMG buff, universal support.

• Zani (Fusion, Rectifier): High burst, great sub-DPS & off-field damage.

⚙️ Key Mechanics & Build Notes

• Tune Rupture: Current dominant system — apply debuff → trigger break → massive extra damage. Lynae+Mornye are mandatory here.

• Best Echo Sets:- DPS: Thunderous Force, Fusion Core, Havoc Pulse

• Supports: Harmony Chord, Resonance Blessing

• Weapons: Signature weapons best, but F2P options like 4-star Event Weapons or Crafted work great.

• Pull: Lynae → Aemeath → Camellya → Mornye

• Build: Lynae first → Mornye → Main DPS

• F2P: Camellya, Shorekeeper, Jiyan, Rover (Havoc) are all S-tier without spending.

Been playing Wuthering Waves since launch. Here's what I see casual players get wrong constantly:

1. Ignoring Echo optimization after AR 40

Most people slap on whatever Echoes they find and call it a day. But post-AR 40, your Echo sets and substats matter more than your character level. A properly built 4-star character with optimized Echoes will out-DPS a poorly built 5-star every time.

Quick fix: Focus on getting the right main stat on your cost-4 Echo first, then worry about substats. Crit Rate > Crit DMG > ATK% for most DPS characters.

2. Sleeping on the weekly Union Level rewards

Union Level is basically free resources, but most casual players don't realize the scaling rewards change every few levels. Check what unlocks at your next threshold — sometimes it's worth burning a few extra shell credits to push that level.

3. Not reading patch notes (seriously)

Kuro quietly buffs and nerfs things all the time. Last patch they adjusted resonance chain multipliers on 3 characters and most people had no idea. Knowing what changed = knowing what to build next.
