Spent a lot of time watching traders blow up accounts on setups that were actually correct.

The pattern I keep seeing: the analysis is right, the entry is right, but the trade still loses money — because of one of these three things:

1. No hard invalidation level before entry. If you don't know the exact price where your idea is wrong, you'll move your stop when it gets close. Every time.

1. Position sizing based on conviction, not risk. "I'm really confident in this one" is not a position sizing model. Risk the same % on every trade regardless of how sure you feel — confidence is not correlated with win rate the way people think it is.

1. Holding through the session it was built for. Intraday setups have a shelf life. A trade thesis built on London session momentum doesn't hold through NY close. Exit when the reason for the trade expires, not when you hit an arbitrary target.

The traders who are consistently profitable aren't the ones with the best chart reading — they're the ones who treat trade management as mechanically as trade selection.
